Introduction
The base text for this particular edition is that of James Murdock's Syriac Peshitto with a diligent comparison of other versions such as the Aramaic Mosul text (1891), Biblia Peshitta (a Spanish translation of the Peshitta produced in 2006), Etheridge's Syriac to English translation, various Greek texts (including but not limited to J.J. Griesbach, B.F. Westcott and F.J.A. Hort), the Geneva Bible (1560-1599), various Hebrew translations of the Greek text (Professor Franz Delitzsch, Isaac Salkinson and David Christian Ginsburg), and others.
Texts appearing in italics are based on the traditional interpretation of the book by various commentators.
Invaluable study notes appear at the bottom of each chapter and the student is encouraged to make full use of these notes to assist in obtaining a clearer understanding of the Book of Revelation. Words followed by an asterisk (*) indicate notes by the Editorial Committee. Notes with the letter "c" in parenthesis indicate commentary based on the study notes from the 1500's Geneva Bible. The Geneva notes are printed below the Editorial Committee's notes and are listed as "Additional Study".
Additional chapters will be posted as they are completed.
